Black Life: Untold Stories is an eight-part CBC documentary series that reframes over 400 years of rich and complex Black experiences in Canada, dispelling myths like the Underground Railroad single story and exploring enslavement, Black empowerment, hip-hop culture, immigration, policing, and settlements. Created by Leslie Norville and premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, the series received Canadian Screen Award nominations for Best Direction in a Documentary Series while illuminating the struggles, triumphs, and contributions of both famous and lesser-known Black Canadians.Studio 112 / CBC | Docu Series
