It Happens to Us is a 2023 Canadian short film following
the Baig sisters as they attempt to rescue their schizophrenic father,
only to have their misfortune turn for the worst
when they must rely on an emergency helpline.
The film won Best Canadian Short Film at the Toronto International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA) Canada 2024 and received official selections at multiple international film festivals including The Mosquers Film Festival in Canada, Sangio Verona Video Festival in Italy, and
Slemani International Film Festival in Iraq.
